Rather than suggesting a fixed narrative, the composition invites each viewer to establish their own associations, allowing the painting to remain in constant dialogue with its audience. \u003c\/span\u003e\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003e\u003cspan\u003ePierre Célice (1932–2019) abandoned early law studies for drawing and painting under the guidance of Henri Hayden. Working in the early 1970s in Peter Bramsen's Paris lithography studio, where he crossed paths with CoBrA artists Bram van Velde, Pierre Alechinsky, Asger Jorn and Karel Appel, Célice broke with figuration to develop his mature language of cut and layered coloured paper over gestural paint.
