Description
Claire Bataille is a major contemporary Belgian interior designer who has been active for more than 35 years. In late 1968 she joined forces with Paul Ibens. Their success and reputation are based on their ability to create a symbiosis between interior and exterior, architecture and art, thus expressing a contemporary notion of the art of living. Far from being minimalist, the sense of space and volume are stressed through the notion of material and color without any emphasis on the pictorial effect. In fact, the harmony is reached by showcasing and dematerialising the material through the use of white, glass or metal.
This grey coffee table has been designed according to the principle of clair obscur.
In good solid condition but traces of use.
Perfectly in combination with our Clair-Obscur sofa, a 1.4-meter seating furniture piece by Bataille & Ibens.
