The Loop Chair was first created in 1954 by Swiss industrial designer Willy Guhl, a pioneer known for his experimental and forward-thinking approach. His technique for the Loop Chair was revolutionary: a single sheet of fresh fibre cement was molded while still soft, without any excess material or added components.
