Description
A rare set of two Eurolax R2 chaise longues designed by French designer Charles Zublena, circa 1970. The Eurolax R2 is a rare variant of the iconic Eurolax R1, retaining its sculptural silhouette while introducing integrated armrests for added functionality. Crafted in moulded fiberglass, the R2 is believed to have been made in a limited series and is seldom encountered today.
Depending on the distribution of weight, the chairs can remain stationary or gently rock, adding a playful dynamic to their sculptural form. Lightweight yet robust, they were designed for both indoor and outdoor use, reflecting Zublena's innovative approach to moulded composite furniture.
With their fluid organic lines and timeless aesthetic, these chaise longues complement contemporary interiors, outdoor spaces and carefully curated design collections alike.
Both chairs are in good pre-loved condition and have developed a beautiful natural patina over time, reflecting decades of use while enhancing their authentic vintage character.
