Description
Husband‑and‑wife duo Tove and Edvard Kindt‑Larsen, both trained architects under Kaare Klint at the Royal Danish Academy in Copenhagen in the late 1920s, became among Denmark's most influential mid-century designers. They co-founded their studio in 1945 and, over decades, created iconic furniture alongside silverware, textiles, and wallpaper - Tove notably forging a path as a pioneering woman in a male-dominated design world .
In 1958, the couple introduced the Model 125 lounge chair through France & Son in Denmark. A refined combination of form and function, the chair features a sculpted teak frame, elegantly bowed armrests, and slim V‑shaped supports that lift the backrest with effortless poise. The fixed seat cushions — upholstered in vibrant light blue velvet—are seamlessly integrated into the wood frame, accentuating its clean lines and harmonious proportions.
This particular combination of the coloured velvet and wood, enriching the chair’s tactile and visual appeal. It blends the warmth of Scandinavian modernism with a luxurious, contemporary update. Ideal for both design connoisseurs and contemporary interiors, this Model 125 marries timeless elegance with everyday comfort.
