MIM Roma, short for Mobili Italiani Moderni, was a pioneering Italian furniture company founded in 1957 by Ennio Fazioli in Rome. Upcoming during Italy's post-war economic boom, MIM became a significant force in modernist design. MIM's approach was characterized by a multidisciplinary integration of architecture, visual arts, and industrial design. While the exact designer remains unknown—possibly Ennio Fazioli, Luigi Pellegrin, Renato Venturi, or even the legendary Ico Parisi—it most likely dates back to the late 1970s, a vibrant period for Italian modernism and creative freedom.
