Description
The Tuoli chaise longue was designed by renowned Finnish designer Antti Nurmesniemi. Originally conceived in the mid-1970s under the name Lounge Chair 002, the design was later renamed Tuoli. Although it was never put into full production at the time, the design was later introduced by Cassina in the 1980s, where it came to be recognised as an important dialogue between Scandinavian design and international modernism.
Each chaise longue features an independently adjustable backrest and a refined supporting structure in polished chrome-plated tubular steel. The seat is constructed with polyurethane foam padding and retains its original upholstery, further enhancing its authenticity and vintage appeal.
A thoughtful design feature is the ability to easily disassemble the chairs, making them convenient to transport or store without compromising their elegant construction.
Both pieces are in good pre-loved condition. The fabric shows a few minor holes, all of which are clearly visible in the photos.
Presented together as a complementary pair, the chaise longues are available individually or as a set. One is finished in vibrant red, the other in deep purple, creating a bold yet harmonious contrast.
The listed price is for one chaise longue. Please contact us to specify whether you are interested in the red or the purple chaise longue, or if you would like to purchase the pair.
