Description
Designed by Achille and Pier Giacomo Castiglioni for Flos in 1962, the Taccia is an iconic piece of Italian lighting design. Originally conceived as an upside-down ceiling lamp, its distinctive form combines a sculptural aluminium base with an adjustable, mouth-blown glass diffuser.
The transparent glass diffuser can be tilted to direct the light, creating both direct and reflected illumination. Its black finish gives the lamp a strong, architectural presence, while the elegant proportions make it equally suited to a side table, console or desk.
A built-in dimmer allows the intensity of the light to be adjusted, adding to the lamp's versatility. With its combination of sculptural form, functionality and timeless design, the Taccia has become one of Flos's most recognisable designs.
This black small Taccia is available to view in our showroom at Volkstraat 58, Antwerp.
